Ways to make .net renewal cheaper

I had a .net domain in GoDaddy before, last time I couldn't find a coupon code for .net renewal for GoDaddy. I had to transfer it to namecheap to make it cheaper. Is there any other way other than transferring back end forth to make a .net renewal cheaper?

he probably means that,
if you have to go and forth trying to save some cents for a domain name's renewal then probably said domain is not worth that much

I suppose Godaddy Discount Domain club offers discounts on renewals...I suppose you can get discounted club membership as well...So, if you have a bunch of domains, this could be the way...For single .net name, I'm not very sure....(Kindly cross check)

Transfer it to another registrar and they'll renew it for a year for you. Transfers are often discounted and are a cheap form of renewal for those in the know

Sorry I missed that. Renewal coupons are rare so if you don't want to transfer it back and forth all the time you could use an "always cheap" registrar like internetbs or namesilo. They don't have coupons just low regular prices.
