Warning 1DNI is not renewing domains after paid for!

I just paid $34.95 to renew kidsmeds.org about 3 weeks ago and 1DNI has not applied the renewal fees and is now expiring. I have tried to call and email numerous times.

Fair warning about a register that is screwing it's customers.

I'm pretty new to domain name buying and selling. All my domains are on GoDaddy. What I want to know is there something I don't know about Go Daddy? I'm not sure I understand why someone would pay 34.95 to have a domain name renewed when they could have it transferred to Godaddy for free and pay less then 15.00 to have it renewed? Is there something I'm missing here?

1dni is drop auction company and I couldn't get the domain transfered in time so I had to renew it there. I paid alot for it at auction and now the company isn't renewing even after paying the "pricey" renewal fees.
