I think mobi is fun and I want to increase its use and visibility by developing all my mobis (only 10+) soon that is my goal!

I have some coding experience, but I just don't have time to research all the threads and resources and learn from scratch

for example, these are common uses for mobis:
1) directory listing, users can enter, then displays results
-- category:
-- location: enter an area code/zipcode or navigate by state --> city

2) reference
-- stocks: enter symbol, shows current results
-- dictionary: enter a word, gives you meaning
-- translation: enter a word, choose a language, instant translation
-- area codes: enter area code, gives you city, location, etc.

And the templates/engine to run these could be:
a) using other existing .com sites output and reformatting in mobi format
b) us maintaining our own database of results (sql) and we pull results from it
c) static html pages we continually append/modify/maintain with results

Some examples I see are: screenings.mobi, hungry.mobi, plymouth.mobi

So my question is do we have some proven templates/engines everyone can copy and modify for their use pertaining to their .mobi, this will help anyone get a mobi up and running quickly so it will drive people to develop their mobis because that is what will help the domain succeed

Hi mate i see one of your examples is Plymouth.mobi, that one is mine and was developed from the ground up by myself, took me a good 2-3 weeks hard graft. I could have used a mtld template but i prefer to do it all myself and learn the ropes so to speak. All the information was hand cut & pasted, as well as the coding. I don't think there's too much you can do to shortcut this type of stuff. But to get a perfect dev.mobi score you have to do it all yourself you can't trust a template or web design program to do it for you! But i suppose i could have used some kind of script to do the work for me but in the end i'm a great fan of work hard play hard! I'm in no way an expert but if you need any pointers please drop me a PM and i'll see if i can help or point you in the direction of someone who does! Cheers Chris.
