I have aged domains and will consider changing the DNS without transferring the domain to you, but need answers to the following beforehand:
What is the reason you want different whois when You can just add random info in whois?
What site will the domain be used for?
Will any email be used with the domain?
What is the niche you are looking for?
What is your price per domain?

If you only change DNS then:
- The seller can use the name to spam people - You are still the owner
- They can create a site to scam people - You are still the owner

The Seller has every way to lose with this weird request.

Transfering a domain doesnt reset the date. The domain keeps its age.

If you update the DNS also it is also considered and listed as an update in the whois. Transferring a domain to the same registrar or even to a new registrar will retain the age and is never considered a new domain. Best is, why don't you transfer the domains to your account? 5-15 is also not a price for aged domains.

Why not have an account for each client, better yet you manage those domains in your account?
Like other members have pointed out transfer does not affect the age of a domain.

adserver? requiring aged domains.
I hope you do not affect the accounts for fellow members who are going to sell you the domains negatively, most of us use hard earned cash to invest

It does not matter if member is new or old, just the request is a bit worrying / unsettling for me.
