Hi all,

VWMB( dot) com

This domain is still available. 4 L domain. I am thinking of buying it. Any suggestions. Do you think is it worth atleast reg fee.

Its short form of Volks wagon and mercedes benz. If we closely see. BMW can also be found in reverse. So is it worth registering?

Note: I still dont own this domain. Its up for grabs. So i am not sure if can post about a name that is not owned by me. If thats not allowed, please remove the thread.

Cheers

Not a smart move to post the domain if you're wanting to purchase an available name. Still available by the way. I don't think it's a good name anyway, only a random LLLL.com

when i first saw the title of this thread,

Volks wagon also came into my mind. :)

based on my experience, if you plan to buy and resell, its gonna be tough.

but if you buy and develop, then maybe resell, there is some value there :)

I am one of the true believers who believe that you cannot go too far wrong with reg fee four letter .coms. These days you are gonna have to put up with, at best, two of the "bad" letters (jkuvwy) or one of the worst letters (qxz) - at least if you want a couple nice letters in there too.

M and B are nice letters - not the nicest, but they give a bit of class. Forget pronounceables, those are long gone. Meaning, well you found something to hang it on, although there are a lot more domains with VW in them than could possibly support Volkswagon sites. Like most random LLLL, it is the luck of the draw finding end users who need the particular letter combo that you have.

But with four letter .coms, in a year plus or minus, there will be no more to register. There will be a period when the short termers take their profits, and then there could be a stable bottom price for any 4 letter .com, well above renewals, due to collector interest and domain consolidators. That is what is happening now in three letter names in the major extensions.

Others believe it will never happen, but the trend is very strong. Only major external factors, which would depress the entire domain industry, can prevent an eventual buy out in my opinion.

I'd give VWMB.COM a B- or a B, compared with the junk I often see regged.

LoL Showbiz, so helpful.

Honestly, if your smart, you could flip it really quick for a couple bucks. I know some people who buy whatever LLLL.com's are available and pop them up for sale as a package. They make a few dollars per domain, but if you sell 20 at a time, thats some decent profit.

I like it. With LLLL.com expected by many to run out in the next 12 months, it's OK.
