First I'm not even sure if a VPN is what I'm referring to so forgive me if that's wrong.
I've got a slight problem. I'm currently on a working vacation in the Philippines and I want to play poker online. The software I've downloaded detects I'm in the Philippines and won't even let me sign up. I tested one of those 'hide ip' software and it worked for Websites but it's not working for the sign-up.
Now long story short the office I did some consulting in over here had some kind of set up whereby they had a number of IP addresses on the network and you'd have to switch your computer to route through one of these so that you could access the Internet and not be detected as being in the Philippines. Does that make any sense at all?
I'm thinking it was a VPN but I'm not even sure.
Figured I'd ask the guys here and see if anybody has a clue what the heck I'm talking about cos I'm sure I don't have a clue.
