Well I have 3 things to say.

1. I don't see how "Vista" and "Windows Vista" can even be considered an issue when they are obviously 2 different terms, and since Microsoft own "Windows Vista" TM then they won't ever use the word "Vista" without the word Windows accompanying it.

2. Vista is not some unique or made up word, it is a dictionary word, and so this makes its use even more acceptable for Windows.

3. If john really wants to fight Microsoft and not request money, but request Microsoft use a different name, then he truly is an idiot, because he is missing out on more money than his Vista company will ever produce.

....Also, even if they don't own vista.com, they will own windowsvista.com, and I dont think it would make any difference at all.

I don't think that Microsoft will be forced to change the term 'vista' in case they insist about using this term ofcourse.
