Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

No. Man Utd has a capacity in its stadium for example of 65k (or something like that). I believe every home match is a sell out. There are probably a million Man U fans in Thailand alone who would pay to watch them live. In virtual reality, they will be able to do that (or the next best thing to having a seat in the ground). VR could bring in $billions in extra revenue a year for the Premier league straight off the bat.

Virtual reality poised to transport fans from couch to front row

Someday in the not-too-distant future, when your favorite team reaches the Final Four or the Super Bowl, this is how you'll watch the game:

You'll purchase a virtual ticket, put on your 3-D virtual reality headset and settle into your "front row" seat for an immersive experience that will make you feel as if you're mere feet from the action while you're sitting on your couch, hundreds of miles from the arena or stadium.

You'll hear the television play-by-play announcers but also the ambient crowd noise. You'll control what you want to see, not what the network's cameras make you see.

Turn your head to the left or right and check out the corporate CEO or movie star sitting "next" to you in the front row. Gaze up into the crowd. Zoom in on your favorite player for an entire series of plays. Watch your own instant replays.

The use of words like 'online' and 'mobile' continue to be popular even when you'd think it would have become obvious and irrelevant. for example 'live online chat' :

https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q="live online chat"&cmpt=q&tz=Etc/GMT-1

True, and domains containing those keywords continue to sell. But try searching those terms on namebio and then rank by sale price - mostly the higher priced sales are 4+ years ago. I'd say the point is when something is taken for granted you don't need as much to specify it.

I agree with those who say VR is the strongest word now, and it is the clearest way to tell people today that you have hardware, software or content for VR headsets. But I'm not assuming it will stay that way. Virtual experiences are broader than just headsets, and virtual is already a strong keyword.

if virtual reality football takes off
Premiere league will price the normal supporter out of being able to watch it….cost will be to high…..
can't really see football setting the pace on vr.

It's not there yet though, quality of VR is just not good enough yet to start charging people for ppv and VR events, 5 years it may well be.

That's what i do when I'm in VR, try and see the potential in it and imagine how it will look in a few years.

It's a specific place where you can have haptic virtual experiences. At least on Star Trek, where that makes sense as a plot device. But what happens when you have vr everywhere, and even without headsets? Interestingly when people get used to doing things in virtual environments specifying VR in the name may seem unnecessary - look at the way the use of "online" and "mobile" change.

What if you needed to specify that something was IRL? Will keyword *RL domains be big?
Perhaps the only thing that changed over time is just the way you presently perceive it .

Everyone focuses on the narrative points and missing out on the larger picture when you get to far embedded in some of them
2 words of wisdom...
...can't see the forest while hugging a tree
...you will never find what you fail to seek

Note, I am 70% weighted with the VR keyword. Not 9D, virtuality or some of the other keywords that seem to be O.K. to talk about here.
But what I personally witness is end-users buying/hand-reg'ing names that do not contain the two most respected and popular keywords here for Virtual Reality purposes.
Is that because those with the keywords are priced to high in comparison? One can only wonder.
But even though I hate to admit it, the new TLD's are having at least some impact so far.

But my promise is to not bring the issue up again. I am happy with some of the limited OTHER keywords I have Identified the last 9 months for VIRTUAL REALITY and not ready to reveal them till I am finished with them. But I believe the only reason I have sold more of them is the pricing since I did not have high expectations for them. They were priced lower with the intention to flip to other investors but... surprise, end-users were buying. And it did seem clear to me that I could have achieved more than I asked.

Many words can describe virtual reality.
Some others will make some cash,
And VR will stay the best one.
Most people prefer VR because they like VR chances better.
others try to find other creative keywords that can describe the future and are well embedded in our systems for years now.
At the end, money talks.
Good luck to you all.

I'm seeing people reg some pretty bad names - "Cancevr", "Secuvrity", "BillBoavrd", "Dvrug", etc dot com. These kind of domains are not going to sell. Not even one of them.

Yes, there are maybe one or two names that sold, that are exceptionally easy to remember and are intuitive to spell. But don't expect that trend to last and don't expect much than those two sales. You're wasting your money...You won't even get low ball offers for these names. No one will even take the for free. They have negative worth....because the more you reg the more time money and effort you've wasted dealing with them....

virtualworldsreview.com $327 DC

Crappy name.

vrworldreview.com is available and I wouldn't take it for free.
vrworldreviews.com is available and I wouldn't take it for free.
vrworldsreview.com is available and I wouldn't take it for free.
vrworldreviews.com is available and I wouldn't take it for free.
virtualworldreviews.com is expiring soon and I wouldn't take it for free.

etc etc etc, many more variations available I'm sure....

The new owner of that domain has 5k domains in their portfolio....so maybe they know something I don't??
