Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I'm currently a little bit dissapointed. My > 100 vr domains (all offered at sedo) have no increased traffic since months and I also get no offers altough there are some really good ones.
Give your portfolio / individual domains more exposure. Start by placing a link to your portfolio on your signature. You could also try setting up a twitter account, add domaining related accounts, then frequently tweet about your domains. One other thing you could try is send out emails to potential end users.

Don't just let your domains sit at Sedo.

Anybody of you head set owners try watching the new Star Wars - The force awakens 360 video? How was it? Looks really cool.

You're right - I should do that. Have so many good ones and nobody knows. :)

I think you and many here have very high expectations to early.
Do I need to remind everyone that to date, there has not been a Consumer VR HMD put out there.

The demand for names comes from those that would/could and do profit from them.
Where are they.... They are not here yet.

Even when HMD's arrive, every niche that we deem as a good chance that someone will do, has to be done by someone. Yet to happen.
A good bit of companies are waiting on the sidelines to see consumer acceptance of these HMD's and what exact form VR takes before they enter the market or even R&D. We only hear about the ones that are moving forward early.
So without company's entering the market doing things that people will want to do and devices to do it with, there is no market YET !
The few sales we see are from some of those start-ups. Want to see more sales, wish for more start-ups.

While we will see (I expect) a gradual pick-up in the amount of names sold over the next year and even some better priced sales that are not NDA, It will be a year before this can BEGIN to get into full swing.
If you are still holding names 3-4 years from now without a nibble of interest, chances are it's the name or your expectations for it in price.

Keep your shoes on, there's some running left to do ! ;)

I didn't see it. If you're able to, post the link in your signature.

Mods here can't always tell the difference between a "showcase" post and a "for sale" post.

nDreams at EGX 2015 (24min)
A good watch for those of you who don't know what to expect from the tech.
If you watch most of it close enough, it goes to the point I have been making about the need for standards between the HMD's. Something we won't likely see fixed till the 2nd and 3rd gen of products (2018/19).

Interesting that I mention that CinVR was available for a hand reg Oct 2nd and someone reg'd it and has it listed as 2575 BIN at sedo the same day.
As I said, in this early market, there are always more similar names than you think so never think you have a one-of-a-kind. The buyer most likely has a alternative name at hand before making the offer. It is easy to price yourself out of 'the early market'.
And sometimes if you refuse a fair offer and wait, you may loose the only good/great buyer that comes to the market for your niche. ...Decisions Decisions...

I see many a "FAIR" name on the GD drop/closeout list.
VR3dCinema, VR3dChat, VR3dCasino ...etc...
Not great names but if your willing to hold'm till the market saturates, could be a market for them.
a 5x to 20x return on investment in 3-5 years is still a 'very good return'.
You can't do that in any other investment market.
Just ask the guys hoarding the LLL.com's&org's and LLLL.com's.
Most of them are doing it with money they pulled out of the Chinese equity market.

I have always dreamed of playing an Air Condidtioning Clutch simulator in VR. I wonder why no one has developed that yet.

I've noticed an uptick for my 360 and vr domains the last few days. Domains that have never had any traffic.
