Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

oculusvirtualporn.com is highly iffy.

The use of names with BOOK, ROOM & WORLD are good.
Not many porn dom's do well in .net unless the keyword is very good / high demand.

You know it is funny that when I placed 50shadesVR on my short list, I had searched the TESS database for a mark of "50 shades", and nothing then that was live.

I did just check it again, and a new DESIGN MARK was registered on may 15th.
But it is a LOGO and does not stand by itself as a word mark without logo/drawing.
However, I see this design registration as a way someone is trying to muscle in on the term.
Probably scare a few but is not really able to create a good case unless you copy the design mark with same items or anything close.

Just though it may interest those that were following the earlier comments.

I don't think the PTO will issue on such a generic term as a word mark unless it were misspelled as a brand like
50 shadez. or 50 shades pig. That makes it unique non generic and defend-able. 50 shades VR could get it's own mark without infringing or misleading anyone else's mark. Just as Oculus VR was able to get a mark while there are dozens of "Oculus Innovative Sciences" etc type names marked out there already and active for a long time.

Anyway, I am sure that it provokes the 'same thinking' in what the site could be about and makes it a strong set of keywords.

Let it be known that I don't register any name without checking the TESS, Neither should you.
I have waited years for some marks to expire when I knew they were dead before grabbing the domain name. I am very patient.

Yeah, it's a drop that has been registered since 1999 so I'm sure every VR investor will be interested in it. Plus it's at DropCatch.com so they will have their shill bidding team inflating the price. Solid VR name, but it won't be cheap.

I like how "VR Games" just shoots up like a rocket, this is a good example showing how strong "VR" is as a keyword compared to "Virtual Reality".

It can be argued that VR is so high because people could be searching for anything VR, but if you look closely at the two trackers it can be seen that they move together.

Sounds good. More Demand leads to more money At the same time buyer have 1500+ tld's to move on (Hope every buyers would like with .com only)

I think any domain that contains "oculus" and is vr, runs the risk of being considered TM.
