Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It irks me when a seller sends a name to Sedo auction when I'm a buyer. Now this is just my opinion but you should just know what you want for a name instead of putting a potential buyer through the extra hassle of a public auction. The potential lost of a sell outweighs the slight possibility of a higher payday especially in such a nascent niche as VR. Just my 2 cents, I don't like when it's done to me so I don't do it myself.

I don't see the difference. If you want the name that is, it's only a extra week.
If your offer is the best the market will muster, then it all comes out in the wash.
If I'm not sure I am getting the best value in your offer, it's a way to check myself.
7 days is not a long time to wait and I have never had anyone pay in short of 2 weeks, normally 3 and had direct offers higher for the same while I wait wondering if they were going to skip-out. A public auction puts it all in the open. I direct any additional offers to the auction.

If they offer higher than the min, I haggle my value. Only the min, goes to auction.

I would say that if you don't want it to go to action, don't bid the minimum price.

Most (85%) sedo market auctions never receive a 2nd bid. Their whole auction platform is really screwed-up. Market auctions are to be ones with BIDS but they put all the special auctions in with it without bids and drown out the visible interest.

Sedo wants you to use BIN and tell us that it works better. It is true but only because they promote BIN names more.

They need to allow BIN with min offer. Sellers are not bound to sell it on Asking Price w/min offer. That needs to change. That is to say that if you were to meet the asking price, the seller could still send it to auction. It should be a BIN price that is bound to a sale. If you offer anything less, you are free to negotiate or auction.
I would change my price structure if it were to change.

Hi guys.

VR Wood dot com

I received a new bid, this time worth $1600

I just accept this bid and I have risen to public auction on Sedo.

Virtual reality is still fashionable and domains like this have great potential for related websites: VR, 360, cinematic, broadcasting, streaming, movies ...

Let's see how the auction and the final price that reaches evolves.

Good hunting.

Sorry to be selfish, most importantly for me, and I think for all of us, is that this sale takes place at the highest possible price.

In my humble opinion this domain in a year can be worth more than XXXX.

I look forward to more deals on him.
Congratulations and good luck

Saludos,
Mario.

I remember you turned down mid xxxx for this one. What is changed?

To which you kind of shrugged off the observation of @serhatkotan .

Hello again Serhat.
I have other offers on VR domains and I begin to recover some cash for new acquisitions. I have some promising VR domains that want to acquire.
Besides, renewals dilemma is always present.

So let's get this straight...

There was a 'higher offer' for this name, and now you are auctioning it off at a 'lower value', at auction no less, and then posting an announcement about it in a forum that you swore off less than 10 days ago.

I think I'm going to stop posting in this thread, increasingly makes less sense, it has been a pleasure meeting many and a big mistake talking to a few, see you in DNJournal sales page.

So you only posted about this domain because it made sense for you, or benefited you, in some manner.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck. Good luck with your sale in general, but it sounds like bait for people in this thread who will use the logic, "There was a mid $x,xxx offer, I will scoop this up for myself and just be patient."

Sorry but I don't understand. What will a domain like VRwood be used for?

The only association I get is to "wood" as in erection. Is it for porn? A lumber yard?

I think someone previously pitched it as a name akin to "HollyWood". So "VRwood" would be like virtual reality movies.

Hi guys.

I have received another offer through SEDO by VRwood dot com. It is an offer $ XXXX but demonstrates investor interest in the relationship between virtual reality and filmmaking.
Tremble theaters with VR viewers and cloud streaming services.
I'll wait a few years to sell by XX.XXX , I have no hurry. Patience is a virtue.
regards.

First off, congratulations!

Secondly, am I the only one who, at first glance, thought this was an adult name? :-o

AND

Thricely, please set the bar high... I'm looking to move VRollywood and this "wood" make for a nice comp! ;)

I personally don't like the name, but it looks as though an end-user has a specific interest for VRWood.

Sounds far fetched to me. Why not go with VRHollywood or HollywoodVR if that was the case?

disscusions from Zuckerberg about Vr/Ai and more.

Read full interview yesterday. Was looking for good dom's using keyword DEEP / AI last night. Many of the reports on that interview I seen today are really terrible. Just reporters trying to get a wow factor or are just stupid/don't understand what they are writing about. Many ms-quotes etc.

One on the V tour biz...

SEMIVR.com
DEMIVR.com
Figured they would work well with Mixed VR and AR technologies alike

Like these, and they are short too. I find the short names get good traffic, often even the ones I think are not some of my better names

Do not complicate.

Of course I use this thread for my interest, as all those who participate in it. We are profiteers and seek the benefit. But in addition to make money also, I try to help people and give my opinion and point of view of the evolution of the market and the new possibilities of registration of domains. Just see my posts to check words as METAVERSE and MVR I was one of the first to share and popularize. I have learned so much from all of you, but I also contributed reviews of value. Sometimes certain comments out of place causing it angers me and I leave the thread for a time. But in the end I come back because I think it is the best forum for VR domain names that exists. In addition, when someone publishes that it has received an offer for one of their domains glad for him, and of course also for my. Each sale highlights our portfolios and encourages us to continue along this path.

Best regards.

You may have reason, time will give it to you or will remove you it, it is always a matter of time.
