hahahahah get that demon out of me. Well she had full control as per what the school system teaches them. Thats what is bad about it. She was not allowed to do anything other then what she did.

THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER CASE THAT JUST HAPPENED

BETHLEHEM, W.Va. (AP) -- A police chief briefly put handcuffs on a 7-year-old boy who had become unruly and kicked at him at an elementary school.

The boy, a student at Bethlehem Elementary School in Ohio County, had been running from teachers both inside and outside the school on Friday. School staff then followed protocol and called police.

"I tried to catch him and talk to him,'' said Bethlehem Police Chief August Bankey. "He refused to stop.''

The boy yelled as he ran down a hallway, where Bankey and teachers tried to corner him.

"He started beating on the door of a classroom,'' Bankey said. "I told him to come with me. He started to kick at me. I restrained him in handcuffs and sat him in a chair. I told him, 'If you behave and talk to me, I'll take the handcuffs off.'''

The boy apparently agreed and Bankey removed the handcuffs, which "weren't on tight. I didn't lock them down,'' the chief said.

Bankey, who had been called to the school once before to deal with the same boy, said the boy's parents came to the school to meet with the police chief and a member of the district administration.

"They tried to figure out the problem and why he has these anger fits,'' said Bankey, who indicated he left before the meeting ended and didn't know what conclusions were made.

Ohio County Assistant Schools Superintendent George Krelis declined comment on the meeting, saying he did not want to violate the rights of the student and his parents.

Last month in St. Petersburg, Fla., a 5-year-old girl was handcuffed by police after she tore papers off a bulletin board and punched an assistant principal in kindergarten class. A videotape of the incident was released last week.

Sheesh, thanks for the posts guys! Just a while ago I was upset with my own
3-year old daughter for not eating her food (meat and veggies, she hated the
latter), and I ended up slapping the table hard and telling her angrily to eat
her food.

Actually, I told her she has 2 choices: a) eat her food, or b) nothing at all and
she'll go to bed starving. But I'd imagine she's not "old" enough to decide on
choices.

After reading this thread, I don't know whether to hug her so darn tightly or
what. But one thing's for sure: I don't want anyone's cuffs on her for unruly
behavior, I'd rather they're on mine.

I'm crazy, I know.

if a parent cant teach there kids how to act in public, the parent(s) should be investigated and the child should be placed in custody under the state until the parent(s) go through courses on parenting at there own expense.

These are the same kids who in 5 to 10 years will come to school and kill the teachers and stidents. I say kick them out and make them be home schooled.

When I was in school and I was bad I got to meet a paddle on my rear end. I was in a fight one day and didnt get hurt but then the principal came and pulled me out of the class, and right in the hallway I had to bend over a table and got 3 smacks from that wodden paddle. Tell you what that woman could sure swing that thing! The 3 smacks hurt worse than the punches I got in the fight!

One day I got into a fight during a pep rally in the auditorium. Me and the other kid got taken to the office accross the hall, after the pep rally was over and the teacher came back out we got 5 smacks each with all the kids walking by.

The first time was in grade school and the second was in high school.

The Peopel who are taking this type of punishment away are making the mass murderers of tomorrow. Remember these 2 kids names and see if in a few years they have murdered their fellow students or the teachers.

You're probably right there Zurax .... I've felt this way since long before most of the Recent "Shootings" - Mainly Because :
1) They don't think there are consequences because they've never been punished in their life :!:

2) Their parents stick them on Xanax (Or any other "Magic Helper") and they Just don't feel anything Period any longer :!:

Me too ! ~ And Seeing it was a pretty small community back then (Everyone knew each other) - I knew when I got home , another A$$ Whipping was surely coming .... The Principals and Teachers all knew my mom very well :guilty: - You know what ? - It worked too !!!
I was by no means an Angel - But I never got in any major trouble :!:

I'm by no means saying I condone outright abuse of children , But a smack on the Rear goes a long way ~

FYI :

Names of the Teachers Paddles I Remember (Yes They named them :D )

"White Lightning"
"Excelsior"
"Attention Getter" .....

Well people are sue crazy in the US. Here in North Carolina we're one of the few states such as Texas that allow Teachers to discipline children via Spanking and such however never happens for the most part since parents sue saying Teachers used excessive force and then they get some huge settlement.
