Hi, stumbled upon a very weird happening. At least to me.

There's this .com which I've been interested in getting 'for fun' for quite some time but never got to contacting the owner, for example purpose;

blahblahblah.com

that's been registered since 1999.

All of the other extensions were available.

Just recently, someone based in Houston registered the following

blahblahblah.org
blahblahblah.mobi
blahblahblah.us
blahblahblah.info
blahblahblah.biz

except

blahblahblah.net

So I went ahead and got it.

I'm just wondering, is there any reason why anyone will do so and not get the .net? :o

Maybe they forgot?

Or ran out of funds?

Or think .net is worthless?

Or...........?

Who knows.

bit strange indeed

maybe the dot net version was being "tasted" , so it was "unavailable" for those 3-4 days.

Or perhaps the .net version expired some time ago and no one bothered to pick it up since.

Most likely scenario.

Personally, I don't like .net much but that is a weird situation.

The .com isn't even developed but I must be one very lucky guy then. :D

Thanks everyone. I hope it turns out well for me too. :hehe:

Yeah, it seems very weird as the .net is the most valueable out of those extentions you mentioned

I think you should approach the .com owner sooner rather than later, if you still want that domain.
