I have couple of questions about one domain that I recently acquired.
I'm seeking for recommendations as I'm king of new to these things.
The domain name is: nhadathieuqua.biz
The domain is down right now, I believe the previous owner forgot, or didn't want to pay hosting bills. The site was up several days ago.
It had many active users, at least 200-250 at any given moment. The site was involved with realestate in Vietnam, similar to our craigslist (dot) org, but tailored to realestate only.

Upon acquisition of the domain, I was trying to write to the owner - no response. Site's PR was = 2; though, doing research, many predictions showed estimated PR ~5, or even 6 based on backlinks + traffic.
My idea was to help them to monetize the site, maybe to even take it global, as currently they did not provide any other languages besides Vietnam.
Now, they're completely down. Only archive shows their activity and potential.
My questions is, do you think it is worth the time working on domain from Vietnam? Can it still be profitable?
Another question, if anyone thinks it is can be profitable, would anyone like to join this venture with me?

Ok, since I'm getting no responses, I'm wondering if anyone has done something like that:
I'd like to recreate this site like it used to be before. One problem is that I can't read the language, but that's minor, as if I could resolve technical issues with installing new database, and requiring anyone who tries to login, ask to create new registration information, and then see if the site resumes life.
Would anyone want to partner with me on that? If not, any advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Usually, if the owners don't renew their domain name, it's indicative of more serious problems. I don't know if it would be wise to approach a company in this situation. What I have found is that most have chosen to brand around a new domain name and thus... the domain drop.

Of course, you can always monetize the site yourself, but according to the keyword data, this term yield very little search (28) broad. It looks like this site has been around for a while and that was the reason for their traffic.

I don't know what to say in this case,.... Maybe just hang on to the domain and see if the owners contact you down the line!

PS: What register did you pick up this domain? Because some of them pad their stats, pagerank, etc....

I hope this helps,

Thank you Lexisdomains for your reply.
When I acquired the domain, about 2 month ago, the site was up and well functioning. I returned the following day and found over 200 new posts with pictures of properties for sale or rent - I don't know. So, no spam as I could detect with my naked eye.
The site was not making money at all, no adds, nothing. They had no membership fee, so it was just serving the community. I believe the owner, with very little understanding of at least some of the potential of the site did not pay the fee to renew the domain and droped hosting fees as well. I believe that was the problem. As far as keyword potential, I think you're absolutely right, not much use out of there; however, if to revive the site and make it vietnamese/english, or even multi-languages, then I think the site could bring some revenew.
