domain vegan.xyz Appraisal

Originally bought vegan.xyz several years ago to make a website but the To Do list has been too long. Evaluating whether we should sell it or hang on to it.

1. Is it wort keeping long term?
2. If not, how should I retail price this domain name?
3. And what sort of marketplace is best for this domain name? Would you consider this a brandable name?

I searched NameBio but have trouble finding any close comparative sales. Thanks for any insights on how I should retail price this name. I don’t mind holding it a number of years, if it's worth it, so not necessarily looking for fast-flip or outbound pricing.

This whole domain thing is very new to me (my husband bought the domain years ago and I'm helping figure whether we should sell it or not). I've done a bit of reading and researching, but would appreciate your thoughts.

XYZ is within the top 10 extensions so that's good too, however, nothing special about it related to the word vegan (as is the case with most people using xyz)

I also think that Vegan can be used for way more things than Vegans. For example, if a company sells vegan food, vegan makes more sense than vegan. If someone wants to start a community site, they can use either Vegan or Vegans.

Since you are not in a rush, I would take the HugeDomains approach to retail sales and start high and gradually lower the price.

Start at 99,888 and lower it by 10k every year until you reach 29k. Always allow people to make an offer. This is a long term type of business and honestly, most big sales you see are from people who held the name a long time, in some cases over 15 years.

Regardless if you use Afternic or another platform, make sure the lander has a price and make offer option plus a contact method to the platform or you, on afternic for example it will have a phone number for this type of lander.

Thank you so much! Super helpful. I saw some of that information looking at various websites, as well, but I don't really know how to use that information or what it could mean for us/ this domain. I really appreciate your notes and breaking the information down.
