Hey
i really dont understand this term

what do they really mean when they say that they want something done in VECTOR
No I do not...that is a low res taken off the web for illustration purposes. I need it recreated in vector so that it can be printed on a 6"x9" postxcard.

All computer graphics fall into one of two categories: Raster and Vector.

Raster images are comprised of individual pixels and have a specific resolution (72 pixels per inch, 300 pixels per inch, etc.). When you zoom into a Raster graphic, you will see the individual pixels.

A Vector graphic is NOT made up of pixels. It is a mathematical formula that tells the computer to draw a razor sharp line from point A to point B. No matter how much you zoom into the image, all lines stay razor sharp, asnd there is no pixelation whatsoever. This allows a graphic to be used on a business card or a billboard with NO difference in quality.

Hope this helps!

Photoshop is primarily a Raster program. It has some very LIMITED vector capabilities, but you'll go crazy trying to create anything more complex than a square. Here is a video tutorial on how it's done: tutorial. You need a program that is made for creating vector images. Illustrator is king in this department. CorelDraw is another choice.
