One of the interesting ccTLD's is .VC
Originally intended for St.Vincent, I've heard recoinings along the lines of
"Venture Capital".

Anyone have any .VC domains? Any notable sales?

I own GPS.vc, not sure what to do with it at this point.

dont get fooled
vc is super hard sale even in 3fig.
it's almost always same seller making 4fig.. we broker or something... they probably got 100s vc

at 25 to reg it... u are better not going Into it.. there is reason why top words drop daily in vc and most arent regged.
I concur that manually registering domain names for a strong .VC portfolio is challenging. Simply registering random, potentially high-quality (SLDs) is insufficient. The chosen keyword must have relevance within the venture capital industry. If you donยดt do this with caution renewals will burn your profits.

true but unfortunately it's not that simple cause many vc sales have zero to do with vc per se. it's almost random.

either way when top 1word vc expire daily its enuf sign to keep away

maybe not at 5 or 10 us but at 30.
...yes.

While I understand the complexity involved, it is achievable with careful planning and execution. In my experience, I have sold 12 out around 320 domain names acquired through hand registration over the past two years.

The key to success lies in meticulous due diligence to identify potential buyers. Registering domains without this research is akin to shooting in the dark. I would not recommend ( just like you said) for someone starting today - it is way more difficult since the quality of dropped domains diminished a lot and those renewals can punch you in the face really quick.

WeBroker (despite their name) are a sole partner broker for World Emoji brand (they're sister companies), hence their regular sales.
Braden also sells some vc, but he has over 190:

I have now over 400. Hence I do have constant sales. I believe around 5k I found the sweet spot price for the extension for decent one word names ( for sure leaving some money on the table) My above comment is still relevant though, it is now extremely difficult to find good ones on the drop for cheap or for reg fee.

I sell like 6-7 a year from this rather small portfolio. My STR works out between 1.5%-1.8%. I do know people who actually selling the extension constantly, like the previously mentioned WeBroker ( they do also outreach actively) and for example Tonynames as well from a small portfolio in the 4-7k range. Why? Because they know which kind of names makes sense in the VC community. Look at "Redwood" for example: numerous VC firms, investment companies are using the very same or longer names. When the dot com is not available and/or out of reach you know it is a matter of time someone will pick it up. Also VC firms are normally not B2C but B2B, therefore they are more than fine using the .vc extension. They just want the "Brand". Again my math and acquisition/sales strategy was based on a very low acquisition price ( due to high renewal) therefore if you want now good names at auction they often go for 500-1.2k. So you would need to sell these in the 7k-10k range to be profitable. I hope this helps, scaling .vc today is very tough, but if you know what you are doing you can still make some money, not .ai though in terms of popularity and avg sales price. I hope this helps, also based on this you could analyze your portfolio and drop the names that are just off. Remember there can be VC names available or cheap registered in 200+ extensions, but if not relevant in this niche then you will have tough time selling it.

Mainly were made at Afternic, now I moved the whole portfolio to Atom, let's see if a logo + description makes any difference... If you look back in the reported sales thread you can find a few names I reported in the past.

Maybe you could keep aei and rai those might sell shorter timeframe, I also sold CMC.vc for 3988. Satoshi would be ok without the "s". Refinance is also pretty good a bit too generic though. In the rest I don't see direct potential in this niche as of today, but not financial advice, just personal opinion ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also vc was once hyped as being a tld for videoconferencing companies e.g. Zoom (they don't own the vc btw).

That never took off (although I once tried to backorder Stream .vc)
