Requesting all our spies and intelligent officer and stampede victims of Vaxis, Saggydimes & BenFranklin(VSB) to feed in infos.

Can anyone tell me who are Vaxis, Saggydimes & BenFranklin? With who are they working for? Private investors? buydomains? or etc?

I wonder how are they manage to gather infos on these top names and bid till last drop of their sweat. No small time domainers able to defend their grounds when "VSB" are walking into their terrain.

Lets face it, those guys are the best in the business, they have so much money because they are so good at what they do, if the small domainers had the smarts those guys do they wouldn't be small.

Snoop is it smarts or money? I am not saying they are dumb but you are not saying all small domainers because they have a lack of funds are stupid are you ? There are plenty of people here I think are smart ( RJ, Grlla, Westblock,Argos, JOhnTv, DB, and many more) who are smart but don't have the bankroll or the VC behind them. Every snap name auction would not be defined as an exercise in intelligence, more like an exercise in a PISSING CONTEST. IMO

I disagree with you to certain extent.

You got be smart;YES!. That doesn't mean we're not smart if we can't beat VSB.

You got to be on the right time and the right place. Sex.com was created for free during early days, that doesn't mean new comers who were just 15 that time are stupid. Some domainers might have good portfolio of names but their geographic location can be a major deterrent from being spotted by the American VCs'.

Again, the desire to be big. Some of domainers prefer to be small and off the spotlights.

VSB are backed by VCs & private equity companies. they have the deepest pocket in the industry. They can buy any names & develop any names and sell any names for profit in 30-days. Less than chicken's maturity period before it gets slaughtered.

Having said that, it doesn't mean none of us here will be able to become big. If you wanted to become big, you can become big. Go for their weakness.

 - luckily we don't have to do that, thanks to whois :)

I think the difference with these guys is they have probably been doing this for years and have made some amazing sales to help them along their way.

Money does make money IMO - Can you imagine the difference it would make to you if you even had $150,000 cash to play with in the drops, these guys are getting some absolute bargain domains at great prices most of the time because the vast majority of people in the bid with them could never afford to bid past say about $5,000, or a helluva lot less in my case. These are a few of their wins below.

eplane.com - $ 935
cjd.com - 5,200
sji.com - 4,400
jazu.com - $525
cluny.com - $525
kickboxingworld.com - $139
usagolftours - $525
londonweddings - $2,201
eurolife.com - $850
ceramicworld.com - $1,922
s-v.com - $525
lovin.com - $ 4,095
fastworld.com - 1,250
sexmags.com - 1,189
rod.com - $ 30,250
skihotels.com - 2,150
wacorealestate.com - 1,310
logodirect.com - 1,080
seakayak.com - 7,777

and hundreds more.........you can't compete with these lot unless you have a decent amount in the coffers and can afford to wait to find a decent paying enduser - this takes time.

Sometimes you have to be smart, rich and at the right place at the right time to make a killing IMO.

If you're not rich all you can do is watch others take advantage of an opportunity :td:

That should be VSBB - the last one for Bonkers who is also a big bidder :hehe:

I wish there was a section here in the main forum for everything Snapnames, after all - there is far more going on there than with the .tv extensions as far as I am aware :) You just gotta look at the posts at DNJournal to know snapnames is a very happening place at the moment.

They got great names for bargain partly because other innovative bidders have no ca$h and partly because of snapnames close bidding process.

Let say snapnames allows open bidding for each drop even though the name has been backordered by a single person, hahahahh!!! that would be fire in the ar$e for VSB and the Gang!
I'm sure there are huge idle monies lying around to be invested, but those managers aren't well taught about drops & domain trading.

opppss!! i'm sorry, i didn't mean to spoil your market.

Again, no matter what there is no way tadpole like you able to compete with sharks like them in a shallow waters. I think we're in a different food chain.

Its very unfortunate but that's the fact. The best thing we could do is reg tomorrow's names and guard them with royal archers.

having said that i like to give a brief example(with a bit of advert on my name :) ,with your permission)
I know snack or snacks.com would be today's jewel but there is no way a tadpole like us able to possess that. So i struck by the word "Snack Biscuit" while eating McVitie's new snack (it calls Snack Biscuits because its a biscuits with snack's flavours). Then i googled for the word on major search engines, BINGO! i was informed Snacks & Biscuits are on a collision course.

I bought SnackBiscuits & SnackBiscuit.com.

Fingers Crossed, i might get some $$$ flowing through my pocket.

His recent purchases:
1935.com - $1,311.00
1927.com - $1,200.00
leg.org - $2,052.00
abusedchildren.com - $844.00
apes.org - $400.00
pacman.net - $850.00
did.net - $3,633.00
sunvisors.com - $3,098.00
gummibears.com - $1,871.00
fendibags.com - $6,943.00
-----------
While he's not as prolific as the others, I see him dropping some major cash on names every once in awhile.

I have seen him before too, there is a bunch that stay under 10k, and even a handful that stay under 1k. But the three big boys go after the monsters.
