Value of four letter .net?

Could anyone give any pointers as to what would be the value of a four letter .net domain at this point of time? The word doesn't have any particular meaning.

A 4 letter .net has been auctioned recently with very low bids. In other words, these meaningless domains seem to be worth the reg fee (or even less).

There is no interest in the llll.net names I carried in my sig and they were what I considered ultra premium like BHOT.NET - TTST.NET - so on ..

I had a $100 offer for JMKL.COM and then by time I accepted it (reluctantly it was withdrawn)

Bottom line ? Reseller boards, you aren't going to get aquat .. End users .. Low $XXX if you sell it properly - LLLL.COM varies widely. DUDU.COM is not expected again any time soon, it was sold to a web site that had that in their url as a way to shorten their existing site ... Not that it won't happen again but that was a rarity. Most will continue to go in a wide variety of ranges.

One thing for sure. Max you get on these reseller boards is 10% of actual price you could get from end user at ALL times.

Ok. Thanks all of you for your help / advice. The domain was Auxa.net and I was wondering whether I should hand-reg as it I have a few renewals coming up. I eventually regged it and will try to flip it to an end-user.

CantonSatellite: But I see quite a few names like the ones you mentioned (BHOT.net, TTST.net) being listed as sold when I was browsing the LLLL.net sales forums. There are reported sales of such domains (on Sedo, Afternic, etc) starting from low-mid $xxx to low-mid $xxxx. Some are also there in DNJournal sales list.
