Vacay is short for vacation. Vacay is used quite frequently and I've heard it on TV some time ago and registered the .net version right away.

People are talking about going on vacay like every minute on twitter so its a word that gets used a LOT and have an extremely high commercial value being in the vacation/travel market!

-All major extensions taken.
-Vacation - hotel - travel is huge business and top in advertising spendings like PPC.
-Vacay is highly brandable and also a short replacement word for vacation

Never heard of "vacay" until now. Don't like how the phrase sounds either.

I think anyone with an above average IQ would use the proper term: "vacation" in a conversation. (Any type of conversation - online, by phone, etc). By the looks of it on twitter, the term is popular among many teens who aren't old enough and don't have the money to indulge in travel just quite yet.

Taken in only 9 extensions... trends come and go - I think this one will fade away. Even if it doesn't anytime soon, I don't believe you will make any money from it.

Rmbr is also used "like every minute" in short for "remember".. the .net is developed, check it out. I'm sure there are many other examples.

Also, you will have a very hard time getting into the travel business with so much established online competition.

Summary: No, the term: "vacay" is not highly brandable. But that doesn't mean you can't create a website where teens can discuss places to visit, travel abroad, etc. The site you have up right now won't work - take a more in-depth look at who is using the term 'vacay'.

Finally, low search results coupled with high barriers to entry in the travel business, along with the fact that mostly only teenagers use this term, allows me to conclude that your domain isn't worth much, if anything at all.

To a domainer? Hard to judge really, as everybody has different expectations.

Personally, I wouldn't have registered this domain. If you see something in it though, don't give up.

I doubt someone is going to consider it for a serious proyect. Like the competence in the field is very high I think most people would be in search of a .com for this kind of sites, so I discard a brandable option then what left is someone might want it anyway, so price for this last option I think $5 - $20 range
