Hi guys does Google hate white text. My homepage is full of it and I don't want to change the colour but will google ignore the text and the links in this colour?

White text on a white background would be a no-no, but so long as it is human readable you will be fine.

I doesn't matter what color you are using on your site, as long as it's readable to your visitor. What does google really hate is text that's invisible to visitor.

No offense but this is the most ridiculous comment I've heard about Google.

I know they don't like you hide text with tricks such as white background with white text, but apart of this, what the heck cares Google what colors you like or dislike to design your page

Worst of all, people caring to obey Google so if they decide you can only use black and blue in your websites then million people will obey them blindly :yell:

I don't think its rediculous.. its actually a pretty common question.

Google itself actually talks about using white text. More info here:

Anyway.. thats why we are all family at namepros... I ask very silly questions very often :D We all just help each other out.

the white text you have there looks fine to me. you might want to change the colours of the text at the very very top though because it's hard to read.

This is an old one out of the 1998 SEO play book.
Very old school. They should be embarrassed.

If you use both white background and text at the same time, Google can ban your website for using hidden text technique
