Using AdSense now

I've been using adsense for 2+ years now, but I feel I could be making more money. I am getting nearly 9k impression a day and 70-110 clicks, yet some days I don't make over $5. I am not sure if google had different rates for ads, but I have a feeling its low for proxy servers. Googles shows from their stats that I am getting around $.60-1.70 for CPM. Are there any programs that would pay more than $1.70 CPM and would they pay that for each banner? And can you check google's rate for certain keywords?
