I've been offered free hosting for a teamspeak server, and I'm tempted to try to run an on-line auction for one or more of my names. The idea would be to dedicate a restricted channel to a name auction at a stated time. Interested buyers could join the channel and make bids as the auction progressed. The whole auction could be recorded, and the winner would make payment and accept the transfer of the name in the traditional ways. To take part, you would need to install the free teamspeak client on your computer, and obtain a password for the channel. That's all.
I like the idea of a spoken auction, and the enthusiasm that can be generated. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?
