To own a .US must be USA citizen , business in USA , to be foreign but have business connections or with a private person for example a bill that show you sold a domain .US to a person or company from USA

My thought as well on that one - someone got an incredible deal there and based on the email address in the updated whois record it looks like a lawyer bought the domain.

Not sure but i think i sell a domain to him or at least contact him & far as i know have a nice portfolio of .US
