I have some cool hacks. There nice to look at ... RunWith TradeFor etc..
I thought about creating a " Look at my .us " domain club, cause certainly no one is buying

Never understood why it didnโ€™t get successful like other xxtldโ€™s.....ca..de...au and others that are almost the โ€œgotoโ€ in their respective countries

Because it was ignored by BIG US companies.
So .com is default TLD in the USA.

The Yanks wont touch .US.
misguided domain speculators might. The only time you'll see the .US taken is when there's at least 8 to 12 of all the other tld extensions taken.

As always has been noted .com is theirs followed by all the other long standing extensions. They would rather take the .Co (Columbia) before the .US which is rather ironic

Sad but true. It has potential if Neustar would put marketing dollars behind it.

I'd rather use .US or .ME. As has been documented .CO creates more confusion.

Thanks for the acknowledgement Adam27. I agree the .US should be better promoted on its home territory. But after 20 years in this game, I have to acknowledge what I see happening in todays market. Sure Americans are using the .Co as everyone else, as a shorting for 'Company'

Funny seeing a 'Dislike' on my post above - don't think I've had one of those before. Some people just want to read what they like to read I guess. I'm sure some Brits take the .Co as potential global presence as well. Just not as many as opposed to the .UK

Neustar is like Afilias... their main focus is to serve TLDs as tech backend...
They spend very little efforts for promotion...

I am very surprised...... that .us is just about to surpass .biz considering its been a while since .us has been released.

Why does this not surprise me. USA is owned by 2 countries...

One is china, and the other is not allowed to be named.

Yes, .com is like American English...it's the default language like .com is the default TLD if doing business globally.
