not sure if this is the right place to put this but is it possible to have a domain registered away from your hosting and have that point to a sub folder on the hosting but still get the correct address. (not very well explained)

Lets say I have 2 files in the folder bob.

www.hostdomain.com/bob/index.html
www.hostdomain.com/bob/firstpage.html

I have the domain www.domain.com elsewhere. I can redirect this to index.html but have the options of having it say www.domain.com all the time or say www.hostdomain.com/bob/index.html is there anyway it can say www.domain.com/index.html then if you click the link for it to change to www.domain.com/firstpage.html

Is this possible?

Yes. At the top of the index.html page, add the following code.

<?

header( "Location: http://www.domain.com/firstpage.html" );
exit;

?>

That should work, assuming I read your post correctly. Now that I think about it, did you want the address bar to read index.html and point to firstpage.html?

Email me at nick.mallare AT gmail.com if the above isn't what you wanted.
