domain on Snapnames

I'm currently in an auction on snapnames for domain name heartware.com . With only one day to go, the current bid is 97$. How much do you guys think this would be worth? Trademark issues perhaps?

Tx.

Edit : changed "one hour" to "one day". Was looking to the wrong auction... Less urgent :red:

Hi, I think there might be Trademark issues with this name but I do not pretent to fully understand this complicated issue.

There is also a Australian company useing same - http://www.heartware.com.au/IRM/content/index.htm

I personally bail out of situations like this if i am not 100% sure.

Hope other offers their opinions in time for you.

There are several trademarks for this term by different companies,

For bra wear, owned by Sara Lee Corporation,
another for heart pumps,
one for computer sales,
and one for heart related software.

This could make the domain a highly saught after property, or a target for trademark issues depending on how you look at it. The name is probably worth at least a couple hundred in auction.

Thanks gazzip for your feedback. I'm also not fully aware on when you infrige a patent with a domain name and when not. But I guess the Australian company might be very interested in having this name too...

Is it a tricky one for sure !

Thank you RJ. I'll look further into it. I was thinking one might buy it for XXX$ rather than starting a lawsuit... Tricky indeed

Theres loads of them, most are causing trademark trouble.

I would stay away from the name, as several people here already suggested. TM issues are always unwanted problems...
