Unusual backorder results

For about the third time I see something unusual. That is epik getting a domain with tons of backorders everywhere. Today it was Gladiators dot com. How come they almost never catch the good names but when one very popular comes up, they do. I remember not so long ago it happened with CNM dot com. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Argh, I'd go into it but it's pointless. Epik catches good domains and regardless of backorders, they put up for sale...

Funny thing I recall recently seeing Gladiator.TV expiring and it caught my eye. I believe recently my wife and I had seen some movie based on that theme. Anyway, I did a quick look on Bing and decided it was too speculative as there did not appear to be many potential end users - just the possibility that some day someone might want it for a movie or videogame. I passed but it appears someone else picked it up and of course they want a solid $XXXX offer. Good luck.
