I have a backordering business idea.

I cannot set it up, because I do not have the money, I'm sure it would take alot at first.

What if I could pay one company a backorder fee and they would put in a backorder with all of the other various backordering services for me?

Since all backorderers allow you to re-use your money on another name if you do not get the one you wanted, I believe this would work out nicely.

So rather me paying $60 at snap, $18 at GoDaddy, and various amounts at other places. I will pay one fee to one company and they will backorder my name at all the available backorderers.

For the new backordering company, once they get a requested name from , lets say snapnames, they will switch all the other funds to a different name. And the customer will recieve the name they requested.

So basically this company will always have hundreds of backorders out with various companies trying to aquire the names I want. :)

I think this can totally work, with the correct funding.

I'm sure I could have worded my idea a little better but hopefully you can understand what I am saying.

If I inspire you to develop such a site maybe you can give me credit for the idea, a really good homepage link when you are big.. Or gimme some free backorders.. :) Or maybe just some good 'ole NP rep points:)

Anyway.. I would love to see this sort of service. I don't know why anyone would backorder with anyone else if this servcie were available.

What do you think?

Hmmmm, interesting. Sonds like a very good idea. As long as it could all work as well in practice as theory. But I would definitely use it as it is quite messy setting up different back orders all over the place.

Hope that something can be done with the idea by someone someday.

Okay, lets say they charge $80 (they have to make a profit too). Now you are paying 25% more at snap and pool, but over 400% more at Godaddy. Now that's only if you don't have competetive bidders. Then you have to add complications of proxy bidding on different sites. It is a bit messy the way it is, but there are only about 6 or 8 real places to backorder that have to be dealt with.

A better idea might be a script that would login to all you are a member of, and place your backorders at each of them in a single process. After that you could handle them based on normal auction or award processes.

OK, but if I did that I would have to spend, alot more money, to have my own backorder at each site. Where-as I can pay, $70 min, up to whatever my max bid I choose, to the proposed BO site.

The new backorder site could also make the promiss to only take $10 for every backorder they get for you.

So if they win your name via GoDaddy, they charge you $28 and refund the rest or apply towards your (new BO Co) account balance.

I really think this can work, and work well for everyone. The only people to loose out from this would be the backordering services because they will no longer would be able to hold their customers un-used money hostage. (Which is how I see it when they keep my money even though they didn't catch my name).

my idea is to develop the most technical advanced fast catch so I am always the
first one to catch any name. If I could do that, snap would come to my door to
beg me...
