Dear All,

Recently one of my domain names expired and therefore parked, although I still had time available to renew it. So I have renewed it a few days ago, although its still parked? Its with a resellerclub account so does any one have any tips to fix it.

Thanks

If when you type in the domain name you go to a page of ads from the domain company or someone else, and you want the name to go to your website then you need the address of the server that your website is on -- they look something like ns1.webhost.com and you need two of them -- usually the second is the same, just the number changes.

Go to the company where you bought your domain and log in. Look for a link that says "change nameservers" or "DNS". click that and follow the directions.

The problem is within the admin panel of the domain it says that it is pointing to the correct dns, I have played around with them to other servers and there is no difference. Any other ideas?

Thanks

yeh... change the DNS to whatever your hosting nameservers are.. You wont notice a change right away, it can take upto 48 hours to propagate.

Actually I have been waiting for a week on a DNS change right now. Is your name at Moniker, by any chance?

I cleared my browser history, refreshed the page, removed and then re-submitted the DNS change and yet half of the visitors go to the old address and half to the new. I am stuck at the old address so I cannot access the site to finish it. Very Strange.

Moniker, after clearing URL history, recommended that I clear the DNS cache by typing ipconfig /flushdns into dos. Well, my computer (windows 98) did not recognize the command. But other names that I changed the DNS at the same time are working fine.

Gonna sit on the Moniker guy tomorrow.
