Bell Sympatico offers Canadians unlimited web browsing offered for 7 dollars a month. According to their website, this includes all data fees for browsing and downloading.

One of the big obstacles for mobi was the cost so this should be good news for wireless and mobi...........

That's great news for you Canadians. Does that carrier cover the entire country?

As for your sig, a space or return between Moochers.mobiSubwoofers.mobi would solve it.

Are you sure about unlimited browsing of .mobi sites?? $7/mth unlimited seems too good to be true - upon further investigation, it appears "unlimited mobile browser" means unlimited access to their walled garden offerings, not the web in general. I may be wrong, but that seems to be the case - too bad they are deceiving people this way. :td:

And the $7 is likely subsidized by further download fees for ringtones, etc.

Thanks for the heads up on the sig....time for a new one.....

Bell Sympatico is one of 3 main carriers available to Canadians. Bell, Telus and Rogers. The cost is expensive for internet usage. Hopefully, this isn't a little scheme, as mentioned. Could be though.......they are a bunch of connivers.

I'm on Bell and they haven't sent me squat. They normally charge what seems like a $1000 dollars a minute to access the web via my mobile.

Well other data plans they offer, such as for Blackberrys or Treos limit bandwidth and charge a hefty fee beyond the limit... for example:

$25 bundle includes 4MB, with additional $12/MB
$40 bundle includes 8MB, with additional $8/MB
$60 bundle includes 25MB, with additional $6/MB
$100 bundle includes 250MB, with additional $3/MB

with an additional fee for Data in the U.S: $6/MB

I also suspect that these data plans are not available to non-Treo/Blackberry type phones... whose browsers are unlimited only in terms of access to Bell's own little world of download wonders.

The same likely holds true for Telus and Rogers - if anyone knows otherwise, kindly keep us posted.

Dang, my $20 unlimited data is a relative bargain.

Telus is probably the cheapest.. I got a $20 plan also and it does what I need.. When I am not in range of a Wifi so I can use my PSP I use my cell.

Will that plan work with a regular phone, or just a smartphone/Treo/Blackberry? What's your data limit? What's your plan called?
