what do you guys think about the lesser known search engines out there? google has turned into Standard Search, and i am shocked that there are search engines out there that people have never heard of that actually have people searching on them

i ask because i recently signed up for this service
http://www.ineedhits.com/pay-per-click/top-up-traffic.aspx
and i have never heard of any of those search engines in my life, but it gets me hits and i am satisfied with it.

i dont think it's a "scam" as some of my friends have suggested, as my server endorsed ineedhits, so did a SEO-book i am reading. and it's not a stretch for search sites/systems unknown to the mainstream to be receiving business. because there are tons of unknown businesses out there that make good money

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
are they really search engine or just directories?

they are actually search engines, go to the link i posted and they have the entire list

the interfaces for a few of them are really decent, but i have no idea what search systems these sites run on

taking a look at 1 of them ghetosearch.com
have about 2,270 results on google
it's all backlinks for me, but still i prioritize google.com and yahoo.com over all of them combined.

there's a software that does that but it's pricey at U.S.$XXX but you pay one time and unlimited upgrades can submit to a million directories, search engines and more.

may i know the domain you're submitting to them?
what's the ratio of hits/sales when using their services?

http://www.thagodz.com - i used it this one. I searched "yahoo" , but did not get any results other than non related websites and text ads on the right.

They are not search engines, but directories.

Anyone who GUARANTEES top ten exposure is full of it IMO.

"Get Guaranteed Top 10 Exposure for Your Website
Get an attractive, Google-style ad for your choice of keywords with guaranteed top 10 exposure across 250+ search engines on the ISEDN network "

Now lets take a look at the "G Special", only 24.95 a month and that guarantees inclusion in Google in 7 days.

Google will find your site within 7 days anyway. Over 90 percent of search engine traffic comes from Yahoo and Google, the other 10% is not worth paying for. Anyone who pays money to be included in Google needs their head read!

When was the last time you went to one of these search engines to look things up? Never, and either did i or anyone else. It's common knowledge you do not need to submit your site every month to search engines, it achieves nothing.

If you want to be deindexed by Google, this may be a great service!

Maybe im being a bit harsh, and this service may work for a new business online, who has no internet experience, but everything you need is on NP's, and nothing replaces hard work, there are no short cuts to traffic. Yes you can buy it, but it is poor quality and no guarantee where it comes from.

Google do not endorse SEO services such as these, despite what they
(i need hits) may tell you otherwise.
