Unbelievable domain sales thread

I found out a while ago that

Freecreditscore.org sold for $123,000 and it is unbelievable domain sale.

Nav.no sold for more than $700,000 and it is also unbelievable.

How do you explain these domain sales?

Think you're getting confused with the .com sale?
If not it would have to be a developed site selling for that i would imagine, late so can't be arsed to check lol

Those domains will need lots of development to cover the money they overpaid. I am just curious about how 3 words .org domain captured xxx,xxx sale.

I think the sale really happened. There are people who don't know about domains and got millions of money in their banks. For them, they will pay whatever they like.

It also depends on luck as well. No many people will pay that much for those domains because they can buy .com domains for such prices.

It's all about approach to the buyer. And not being afraid to
take risks when selling. One of the biggest risks in domaining
is asking too much for a domain. Who's to say what is too much?
Every domain is unique and one of a kind. The goal is instilling
that into the buyers mind.

That doesn't mean we can't have discussions about these sales, it just means that some people will have to take their foot out of their mouth a few years down the road

Believe it or not, I know some really rich people top 1000 fortune that are ready to buy any kind of domain names for $xxx,xxx simply because they like it and for us it could be a huge amount for a domain name that you think it don't worth that much but for Top 1000 it's just like they are buying a nice motorcycle or bicycle (500 fortune)
They are just happy with their "toy"

Just check Dnjournal for domain names sold in the past and you'll be amaze to see how these happens offently.

I'd love to own yesor.no but it's taken and you need to a) be an organization and b) have a local presence in Norway.

domain name is one of a kind, if the seller does not want to sell and the buyer really want s to buy, then it could any price. Unlike buying a car, the manufacture can make identical cars, you only have one unique domain for sale.
