Good Marketing Department?

I could not help myself but check godaddy's alexa rating and profile. I have never seen a company so many people love(ha ha). After using them for a while and leaving in disgust a few months ago I find it even more unbelievable.

Is it me or does it look like they have their own marketing people creating bogus reviews?

I checked other registrars comparable in size to godaddy(enom etc) and none of them have so many "happy" customers. Is it shameless self promotion? Hmm.

Why did you leave them?

Hi.

I've been using GoDaddy for about three months now and have not had any problems. All but one of my domains are with them.

Perhaps you could give expand on what happened.

Just curious as I don't want to keep buying names with them if I'm going to encounter a serious problem down the line.

My experience with GoDaddy has been positive as well...unless you count that little issue with their lack of pushes.

I have had a number of negative issues mainly my names going into other people accounts during their DB screwup. I also had several names auto-renewed although auth-renew was disabled. I do not find them a trustworthy company.

Here is another example of their backpeddling nonsense. You go to their home page and their a transfer link. When you click at the bottom it says

What about their thousands of resellers who are non accredited but who resell for Wild West domains. Is godaddy implying their own resellers are tricksters? It appears as if they are saying that.

rice i think its still just to get themselves business they could care less if there resellers got business because they would make more if they got the business straight.

Agreed - but for the thousands of resellers who sign up thinking they are working with a legit partner they should be educated who they are really dealing with

yea i get your point but then again its not like they care. its good to actually tell their customers but they may hurt their business

I'm sure most people use GoDaddy without incident or needing customer support so they would have no reason to dislike them.

It is more the contradictions and lies with godaddy. They portray themselves as friendly, straightshooters etc when in actuality they cheat, lie as bad or worse than the worst.
