Hello All...

I'm new here and have a domain that I would like to get your appraisals on...
UCit.com it is pronounced "You See it".

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking. :)

It is a nice VCVC domain, that is pronounceable.
however i do not see it as "you see it|". It is not clear, and people woiuld get confused.

There are more than 2 million google results for the term, so this is good. and other tld's are taken too.
Also it can stand for:
Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities
Ulster Community Investment Trust
User-Centered Information Technology

In the reseller market it would get low $xxx, but I think if you are looking for an end-user you could get mid $xxx.

good name,

Alex

I think "you see it" is a good way to pronounce and remember that name provided that you tell people that phrase when you build a website.

I think any members here have visited dyyo.com before. I can remember that name easiliy because I made up the phrase "do you yahoo" in my mind for that domain just to remember it. Of course yours is better since it makes sence and it is a vcvc.com.

I would say ucit.com is worth 700 USD.

Thanks for letting me know what you think. I do have one question... what does vcvc.com name mean? I tried to find it in a search and the faq's but no luck. :hehe:

VCVC is the letter format (vowel consonant vowel consonant). It shows that it is pronounceable.

It means vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant.

Short and pronouncable names are valuable. There are only 11.025 CVCV domains (21 consonants, and 5 vowels> 21x5x21x5=11.025). The number of VCVC.com's is of course the same. So you are the owner of one of the 11.025 possible VCVC.com's.

Probably you have heard names like pogo and sedo. These are good examples for brandable names. CVCV names are easier pronounceable but of course VCVC are not that bad either. I would say an average VCVC.com is worth %40-50 of an average CVCV.com.

If you start a new bussines or establish a new brand you want to pick a name that is not a dictionary word because this way you can protect your trademark easier. This is one reason why made-up short names are becoming more valuable. Number of brands and businesses are rising but the number of short and pronouceable names are fixed.
Another reason is acronyms. Check this.
