I am newbie of typo, so I want to do some test. I would like to share the experience to you all.

im no expert on typos but it is best to have letters horizontally next to each other instead of diagonally like atchive.org instead of names like agchive.org. Thats just my view :)

Yes, I agree with you.
The only problem is atchive had been register by other.
There are only two typos left. I have no choice.

In my experience, its best to keep the original first and last letters of any words in the domain also, as usually the person is paying more attention to their writing at that point.

Also, double first letters and double last letters seem to be good IMHO. Many low quality keyboards get the keys stuck down for slightly longer and result in double letters, imaageshack.is and imageshacck.us pull in around 3000 uniques per month, type in traffic.

An pretty easy way to determinate the potential typeins is to type the word a hundered times in Exel, w/o looking at your typings.
delette the correct ones.
Then sort by occurence ;)

Gives pretty good results.

Keep the first 2 letters the same :)
And like someone else said, horizontal typo's occur much more than vertical ones.

Thats a really nice way of digging good typos!
