I have registered onlivw.com, a very good typo of onlive.com with W being close to E and all.
Onlive has only just come out but already ATT has decided to sponser it so much as to give free accounts for 1 year.
I think this will new service will be big in the game industry and my domain will be worth alot.

So tell me what would you guys value this at? I was thinking 5 digit numbers ($20,000+) but I want to get another opinion.
And if anyone could give me tips on how to sell this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

What you are doing is typo squatting on a trademark or copyright, this is not good.

It is worthless.

By the way, welcome :)

I am just curious as to what you would think this typo domain would be worth $20,000+ when most one word domains are not worth that and those that are end up being category killers...even if it didn't have the obvious trademark problems?

It is not even a pretty typo, it is ugly as sin, hell...even onlove looks prettier than that and it actually makes sense!

Potentially you could run into TM issues. Especially if you directly try to profit on onlive.com.

Without considering the TM issues the value of the domain depends on the actual revenue you can get from the type-in traffic. Don't count on a five digit sale.

Without any information about traffic and revenue it is impossible to give an estimate value.

The OP has already shown this to be a bad faith registration by his comments in this thread, (already indexed in g00gle).
Other than profiting from onlive.com, what other value can be attached to the domain name?

Too many people regard cybersquatters and Tm typosquatters as the 'harmless rougue', when in fact they are cybercriminals.
Cybersquatting and Tm Typosquatting should be actively discouraged especially when it is someone new to domaining ( Who maybe does't even know they are doing anything wrong ) :imho:

Value $0 due to bad faith intentions.

dekoy,

First off welcome to namepros we are here to help you and guide you. Now the above comments are spot on you are squatting on a domain in hopes to capturing traffic from a Tm site. Now I would advise you to take a look at our legal section of namepros. There is quite a bit of information on people who have issues with someone messing with there Tm. Now that you have publicly admitted you purchased the name just to capture traffic from onlive you have given them all they need to take it away from you should they feel the need and pursue legal means.

I would delete this name from my account and spend some time doing some research on namepros.com. I would also advise you to stay away from trademarked names and services. In the end you will get caught many here have done it for years and get caught sooner or later. Some do it for a few months and get caught .....so time is not on your side neither is the legal system.

Also domainers get a really bad reputation from the outside world and are pretty much portrayed as squatters. We really need to work on this image and by educating new members and stopping old ways we can change the perception one person at a time.

Read up and once again welcome to namepros and enjoy your stay here with us ;)
