Hi guys,

Need a bit of advice if possible, how is the market for a two word domain with the same joining letter?

Example:

teaMMart.com
cryptOOctopus.com
trYYellow.com
cannabiSShop.com
poPPros.com

Do you see what I mean?

When the joining word starts with the same letter does this affect the value? Or is it something buyers just don't want or like?

Amy help would be appreciated

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It's not as simple as a blanket statement - most will be of no value, but some will. Just like any "brandable".

It will come down to 1. how hard is it to hear it on the radio, spell it (properly based on hearing it on the radio), and remember it (& spelling) when I get home and can log on to a computer.

Now ask that same question of a GrandParent, a teen ager, a native UK English speaker, Native Spanish speaker, Native Arabic, etc... If they all get & remember it easy - you have a keeper!

Good Luck

There is no fixed rule. Depends on combination and keywords, if combination and synchronization is right then it can work.

@gilescoley

Can I please have your take on two joining words with the same letter please, I'm sure you don't like them?

All depends on what each company/end user are looking for.

Some exact match keywords contain double adjoining letters that yield high volume search results.

Not saying these are best examples but these domains sold for a decent profit:

AsSeenOnTv.com $5,000,000
ElectricCompany $80,000
FilmMaking $35,201
DvdDownload $27,000
OnlyYou $27,000
OrganicCosmetics $27,500

I agree with others here...

It mainly depends on the two words...

Mostly first word... I think it doesn't show any influence of the word(s) are popular and very frequently used.

We will picture the words with spelling almost immediately after hearing them...this happens without any effort...and a little effort is needed when we are not much familiar with the word(s) and will spend fraction of time in figuring out how to spell it...

So this impacts when you don't know about the words and they are new thing to you...the process changes rapidly the more we see the same name...the more it is easy to identify and correctly spell out the same.

What you asking can be a problem in made up words...blends...compound words... I mean for brandable names.

As they tend to omit some letters and it only makes recognisable to other people when they SEE the name..

This is long explanation but happens in our minds every time.

Thanks,
Ravi

Thanks for replying, have you ever sold a domain like this or had any interest?

I just bought it but its not in my account yet. Once it does i'm gonna try and do a quick flip with a profit of 500-700 hopefully...

I have ignored a few requests for prices on one few time as had make offer on it and couldn't be bothered playing knowing who they are rather sell it to my target.

If people use same email over and over they leave a trail even when believing anonymity.
