I previously posted within the thread NamePros is giving away two FREE tickets to NamesCon 2017! Enter now!, and that post was deleted probably under the (and I'm paraphrasing), 'Start your own thread, your post is too real, contrary to the goal of this thread, and may make us look foolish!'

But I digress.

Before you start jumping up and down exclaiming, "Yay! If I can only win these tickets I'll be attending an event with the best minds in the business"! Just remember what Namescon has offered us in the past. The recent past.

Here, check this out: https://namescon2015.sched.com/speaker/Adam.Dicker

Don't forget the list of scheduled speakers for that event. Hey, Ron Jackson is on that list. You remember Ron, right?

Now all of this is well after Adam Dicker shenanigans, including:

http://www.adrforum.com/domaindecisions/606425.htm

And of course, this tasty thread posted where? Well right here at Namepros! Hot digity damn!

Two tickets to Namescon? Gee, thanks a little!

HeyNow,

I understand that you may think what happened years ago is relevant. I understand that you have a difficult time letting go of things that happened in the past. I understand that you don't think people should ever make mistakes even when no one is perfect and no one can be right 100% of the time.

This holiday season is a good time for you to practice understanding and try to let go of things that happened in the past if they're not affecting anyone today. Today, NamesCon is a great resource and event for our industry.

Happy Holidays!

HeyNow,

I understand that you may think what happened years ago is relevant. I understand that you have a difficult time letting go of things that happened in the past. I understand that you don't think people should ever make mistakes even when no one is perfect and no one can be right 100% of the time.

Well, when industry, self-proclaimed know-it-alls sell us down the river, and when domain industry convention organizers try to extract money from us this year after exercising bad judgement last year (by the way Eric, 2015 is not "years ago"), and domain industry "news" journals make a mockery of their readers by proclaiming they provide news when in fact they neglect what is perhaps the biggest news story of 2015/2016 (again, not "years ago"), then someone should remind your readers here about the truth.

And by the way Eric, if what happened "years ago" is no longer relevant, then why in the world isn't Adam
Dicker included as a guest speaker this year? Just because a few disgruntled customers bitched and moaned? I think not.

And I might add that if "what happened years ago" was truly no longer relevant, my posts would be considered by your readers and members so insignificant as to garner no interest, "likes," or "thanks." You wouldn't need to float that balloon in the first place.

Merry Xmas to you too.

Your argument is flawed and it's the same one everyone in your position uses. It's not worth further discussion because it's already been discussed many times. I hope you'll learn to let go and move on in a positive direction.

Have a wonderful holiday,

by the way Eric, 2015 is not "years ago"
January 2015 is "years ago" by every definition. ;)
