Turn Wordpress blog into a website?

I use Wordpress - because my web building skills are limited.

Is it beneficial to have a Wordpress blog with several pages? (making it like a website)

Would this increase traffic?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Having wordpress with several pages won't necessarily increase traffic. But, the SEO that wordpress provides for your articles (if you've optimized your permalinks correctly) will at least aid in your attempt to increase traffic.

If your web skills are limited, then stick with wordpress.

Having multiple pages also helps your SEO too. Search engines love multiple page sites, especially Google. It could simply be adding 3 pages such as "Contact Us" , "About" , "Privacy" pages. So of course better SEO can equal better traffic in the future.

yes, you may use wordpress as a framework,Ive successfully created many sites with this technique (joomla is bloated)

If you are looking for a full site, you can always use Wix.com, which offers flash site templates that are as easy to use as WordPress, and much more functionality than WordPress. You can use templates for free with a subdomain or purchase hosting and use your own domain.
