WordPress Newbie Here Needing Advice.

I am new to blogs I can remember years ago installing a wordpress blog from cpanel but didn't really do anything with it. Now I have a domain that I would like develop into a blog and I hear that wordpress is the best. Can someone tell me what are the best mods etc to use for seo on a wordpress blog? Also can someone point me to the best site for free themes & mods etc.

Advice #1: Install wordpress manually instead of cPanel. Makes upgrading to newer versions easier and its always a good practice to know the internals of your site.

Yes, I agree because if you upgrade to a new version, all your themes will be overwritten, apparently. It also allows you to know how it all works as said
