Ok, I admit I have just acquired a Trump related domain - TrumpToons.com

Atter doing some research, it seems there are a lot of people out there who like to draw Mr Trump, particularly in cartoon, so thought this might have some appeal.

It's catchy too - what do you think?

I think it could be a good domain for a webcomic or political cartoons for the next few years.

Maybe registry of Trump inspired cartoons...
I want to say low $xxxx for the right buyer but I'm a bit afraid of legal actions if the cartoon doesn't fall well with the president(elect)... ?

I would stay away from Trump names, most of the cartoons and memes have already done the rounds and I think it die out pretty quickly now

US has strong free speech protection. You can pretty much say anything as long it's not intentional slander or fraud.

The price dรฉpends of the end user...
Difficult to imagine a end user doing a commercial website with this domain... even if the name is cool
So it's not easy to appraise... a few $ to 1000/1500 $ not more...

Don't forget that on the flip side of the coin, the US also has very strong frivolous lawsuit protection...meaning anyone can sue anyone for even the stupidest of reasons. I can assure you that if a famous rich person wanted a particular domain name with their name in, they could wage so many lawsuits and appeals that it would put an ordinary person into bankruptcy.

I'm not an Internet lawyer.. but the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruled on this very subject in the 1970's.

unless if behind this ordinary person hides a competitor group abble to wage the same lawsuits... the communication war is on in our world... we are a little bit off topic but, if a Trump competitor organisation, even a shadow Trump competitor organisation wants weapons to destabilize its camp... they could pay for it... ;)
That said, for me, names with "trump" are worth nothing... mostly a name with "cartoon"...

You're missing the point. While you can eventually win a lawsuit...if a person is rich and has money, they can draw the suit out for years...causing an average person with normal resources to go into bankruptcy over lawyer's fees, court costs, etc. before they even get a chance to win.

You're overstating the risk. If OP is concerned they should contact a real lawyer.

If OP wants to take that risk, that's on him. But I don't think I'm overstating the risk. This is the country where a burglar breaks into someones house, gets hurt while stealing someones property and successfully sues the person who's house they broke into. Or the lady that puts hot coffee between her legs while driving, then successfully sues when she burns herself because she spilt it. But if you think I'm overstating it, please feel free to buy celebrity names.

You can find outliers / excess in any data set. Follow your own conscience.
