domain Tropical.cc Good for a .cc domain?

I was looking at my tropical.cc domain and started wondering. It's a .cc, which kills most of its value, but the keyword is great for the vacation/travel niche. SEDO's suggestive price for it is $1,400 to an enduser. Does that sound fair to you?

Undoubtedly tropical is a strong keyword but as you have indicated the extension is worthless. Nowadays finding a keyword in .cc is not very difficult. I am a bit surprised by Sedo’s suggestive price. I would be interested to know if the suggestion is based on recent or past sales of .cc names.

Thanks for your reply. I looked through DN Sale Price- Domain Name Sales Price and History and saw some .cc's doing decently well, aside from the ones that sold in SEDO auctions. I was thinking this could sell for around $800 to an enduser but I dunno. Any other ideas, ppl?

I dont own any .cc but have one in mind, dont know why its probally so stupid LOL

Thanks. That's a good idea unless I'm approached by an enduser. I'll keep it on SEDO for now and see what happens.

I think it is near perfect for the extension. I really don't think you'll get anything near the estimate; maybe $50 - $100.

Depending on your schedule, I'd keep it for at least a couple of years and whittle on it. It's a great .cc imo

Tropical cruises is the first thing I think of.

With .cc domains you have to pitch it to possible parties, unless it's a too die for keyword.

I'd do a google search to find buisness websites that use the word tropical in their title and have a c word that comes after the word tropical: Tropical Cruise, Tropical Cafe, Tropical Clothing, Tropical Credit Union, etc.. I'd then get their whois info or the contact info on their site, and write up an email to pitch it to them.
