I have been looking to register several domains with Triple.com, because their $5.55 deal on .coms looked very good.

I created an account.

I can't login.

It never says "wrong password", or anything. The page to login just refreshes. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! >:(

Support? What support?

http://www.triple.com/contact.php

I have beeen trying to contact them SINCE FRIDAY!!! 24/7 Customer support?!?!?! WHERE?!?! NO ONE WOULD PICK UP THE PHONE!!!

AND THEY STILL AREN'T!!!

You can also contact their customer support by adding them to your MSN, ICQ or AIM buddylist. I added to my MSN. It appears online. I asked why I couldn't log in. Even though the customer support contact is online, it's been 2 HOURS and I have got NO RESPONSE!!!

What the hell?

I want to do business with them. But I can't because it won't even let me flippin login to the account I created. And when I try to ask what's going on, no one seems to want to help, even though it advertises "24/7 Support". And it's not like I've even been testing their 24/7 support just to see if they answer at night. I've been calling during regular business hours!

Massively disappointed.

Customer support is down everywhere with the holiday season. I couldn't get through to Escrorw.com for over an hour today (usually takes just 2 minutes). It seemed as if they had just one guy on the phone.

Wait for some time. Its Monday, and people are just beginning to wake up after Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Honestly. Any company offering a fantastic deal, with poor customer support and a poor (non functioning) interface, should be reconsidered! I would recommend spending the extra dollar elsewhere - and registering domain names are a trustworthy registrar.

If it sounds too good to be True... Totally agree with Spade. When I bid on a name at auction which is hosted at a bad registrar, I deduct value from it's worth for the waste of time it will be getting it out of there.

I totally agree!! When I saw 3 threads in this section started in less than a day about how "wonderful" Triple.com was-- the red flag went up. Spend an extra buck or two and deal with a reputable company!

That's what I also saw when I first heard about them and checked them out
via WHOIS. And their domain name's currently unlocked as of this post.

Here's what it says in Internic (also in ICANN's registrar list):

http://www.internic.net/registrars/registrar-1115.html

Triple.com, Inc.
ADSFAST MEDIA, LLC.
2220 Village Walk Drive
Unit 3205
Henderson, NV
United States

Unless they're not the same.

It costs a registrar $6.65 per .com name. If they sell it for that or less then they plan to get you some other way ---

Well except for Godaddy who just wants to be the biggest. But even Godaddy figures a certain percentage will buy email, hosting or other junk and/or leave the domain parked with them.

Agreed with everyone else here. Its always much better to go with a stable registrar such as eNom or Moniker.

Or else later you might end up being in the "register fly" head ache.

Agreed. If you are looking for cheap names from a reputable company, Name.com has them for $5.99

I saw there prices about 2 months ago then started a thread here on NP to see how reputable they were & people gave them the thumbs up so I've been using them for the past month or so, all good so far.

When will people learn? You usually get what you pay for. Is spending an extra $1-2 really too much to deal with a reputable registrar? I prefer to register my names at Moniker & with the NP pricing it is even better. Yes, the prices went up a little under 50 cents but it is still under $7.50 per name & I am dealing with arguably the best & safest registrar.

I also use Go Daddy since a lot of names I buy are there. While I am not as big of a fan, I still feel it is a decent company. I saw the pom pom waving on Triple's promotion & laughed as it smelled like a rat a mile away.
