Traffic Harvesting - What are the best non-.com domain name extensions?

I'm thinking about investing significantly into alternative-to-COM tlds that achieve a nice traffic flow.

What country code TLD's are generating moderate traffic? significant traffic?

I'd love to have a conversation with someone who is an expert at creating cashflow from secondary non-com TLDs.

.de, .co.uk are the strongest -- beyond that, there are good options in most ccTLDs if you do the research.

i agree .de is really strong.

also .fr (france), .nl (netherlands) and .ch (switzerland) have done well for me

i can only speak to those I have actually tested

it seems that people in these countries like to type in their own country codes even before .com's or at least as often. Not sure if it's an issue of pride or if it has to do with the way these TLD's were advertised or perhaps both! It helps that most of their top sites are in their own country's TLD and not .com, essentially setting the standard for the rest and ultimately for generic terms and even terms in their own languages.

I think .info domains are some of the ones that average people are less likely to think of, and I do agree that someone's own country's domain extension is very popular.
