Trademarking Infringement on Movie?

Newbie question I know. Sorry about that, just reply 1 2 or 3 to make it easier.

I'm going to buy "movietitle"thefilm "movietitle"themovie "movietitle"movie "movietitle"film .com's and i'm wondering if I can sell these on.

1, Yes that's perfectly fine.
2, If the title is trademarked then you cannot buy the domain name without them taking legal action.
3, It's only ok as long as you pretend it's not about the released film, IE. you make a film on youtube pretending that's what the domain name is about.

Responses welcome, even if it is just 123.

Well, it is quite difficult to elaborate such issues. If you are going to buy a domain that is exact match with a movie name then Don't do this. You never know when you can get sued. So it is better to stay away with such a deal.

As far as I can tell they haven't trademarked the name, nor got a website about it's development.

If it is not trademarked it should be legal by law, correct me if I'm wrong though.

And I think there is a difference in registering titlethefilm.com then actually registering title.com
I often see fansites with either the fullname of a movie or the name with an extra word to it.

Since you're new, here's some advice:

Don't deliberately try to profit from someone else's work, whether it's a company, a product (like a movie), a famous person or group (bands, sports teams). Purposely infringing on someone else's intellectual property (formally trademarked or not) in an attempt to benefit from their hard work is not only illegal, it makes the whole industry look bad and can cost you a lot of money if you mess with the wrong people.

Seriously - you're much better off putting your efforts elsewhere. Just don't do it.
