i purchased recently vontage.org domain name,when i checked domainindex shows trademark risk 40%

i don't know very well about trademark issues.please help

what should i do?? keep domain name or delete it??

Probably because it looks like vonage. The question is, why did you register this name in the first place.

If you ever get in to a trademark dispute simply delete the name from your portfolio or push it to whoever is complaining and there is nothing they can do. Its not like a swat team will fly in your living room up-side-down in a helicopter or something.

Vontage.com is owned by Vonage, probably as a defensive typo-registration. Therefore, the .org is very close to that.

So you made not just one but two mistakes.
1. not doing enough research, there is a potential TM issue here, 2. trusting automated appraisals.
I would even say three. What would you do with that domain, or have you identified possible end users for this one ?

You may be able to cancel the registration if it is less than 5 days, call the registrar.

I assure you that you cannot register anything worth $5000. Hundreds of people have looked before you.

Reg-fee domains can be flipped for a small profit or held long term in hopes the market will expand for big profit, sometimes.
