Hi ...

I just made a swap. My YUSU.com with VirtualPawn.com.

Anybody think it is a trade-up or down?

Submitted my new VirtualPawn.com for the auction at Domain Roundatble....no ranking yet.

:) Al.

Sorry but i believe you made a bad deal, in my opinion Yusu not only worth more, but has bigger potential, especially with the rise of llll.com's.

i also think this is a bad trade. Yusu is a pronounceable and cvcv and also has a known acronymn on google.

in this times, a pronunciable generic CVCV.com like YUSU is gold, and worth much more then virtualpawn . I'm sorry to say that, but also in my opinion this has been a bad trade.

Wow, I agree - this was a terrible trade for you.

Yusu.com would command high xxx - x,xxx

I see virtualpawn as being Substancially less.

This is a subjective trade that hinges upon potential end-user sales. While VirtualPawn has a well-defined market, Yusu will have a higher variance of offers (as it's a branding name.) Depending on your strategy, you might have done well but, more specifically, I believe Yusu has a greater wholesale value. Time will tell on this one...good luck

This is just domainers speaking.. You could easily dev this..

I would have kept YuSu.com IMO. Sounds like "You Sue", which could be a profitable site. Plus it is a great CVCV.com, worth much more than VirtualPawn.com as far as resale value. To an end user it is open to more personal opinion but I stil think YuSu.com would bring a better price.

Most of us on this board are developers, in addition to domain investors. Development, especially in the finance industry, requires a lot of design, seo and partnership work for a successful product. Sure, there's development potential but the same could be said for most 2 word .coms.

Thanks for the feedback peeps!

I was thinking that YUSU.com is too broad and does not have a specific market whereas Virtualpawn.com does. YUSu.com will do well in the retail market, if somebody really wants it (thre are many better CVCV.com at sedo not meeting their reserves) but in a wholesale market, it will be be $1,XXX max IMHO.

Whereas, I think it is easier to sell VirtualPawn.com in the retail market for much more than $1,XXX because it is in a highly competitive industry, very brandable and more focused on a target group.

Let's see if it gets accepted for the Domainroundtable auction and hope it can snag a big buyer there :)

Great feedback again, thanks!

Al.

Personally, I think that Yusu is the best out of the 2 names

Still waiting if VirtualPawn.com gets selected for the auction at Domain Roundtable...see if I can make it up there. :'(

My rationale for the trade was that this domain is a good investment for the future, especially with the concept of domain/website financing/leasing/pawning.
Hopefully I am right. :hehe:

Peace..Al.

Pronounceable LLLL is a better investment for the future IMO

Yeah, I'm sorry but I must also agree that I think you made a bad trade. I hope that I'm wrong though and wish you all the best with your new name.

Personally I would have stuck with Yusu.com. Its a more stable investment IMO. Meaning it has a very real value right now, and that value will steadily increase over the next few years as CVCV.com become even more rare and the sales prices rise.

VirtualPawn.com is not a bad name. I see where you're coming from with it. It does have potential IF a nice end user shows interest. I just don't think it is as solid an investment, but has the chance to pay off nicely in the future.

I guess if you compare the two names, they probably have the potential to make around the same money from an end user sale in the future. The only difference is that Yusu.com is a definite (and probably easy) sale in the future, while VirtualPawn.com may take a lot more time and effort to sell.

Well.. domain swapping is a new business for everybody, so I guess the rationale behind the decision is still very subjective. I have been stuck with YUSU.com for some time now and most of the offers for it were about $500 or less.

It is also more difficult to target an end-user because it is too broad. With VirtualPawn.com, I am planning to use Google Adwords to sell to end-users or even list it up at auctions. At least I have a specific target market that I can work on and sell it at $1,000 and above.

Rather than waiting around and getting $500 offers from fellow domainers, I can now seek out end users and hopefully turn around a fast $X,XXX...

Well, that is just me..YUSU.com is a domain to hold for the long term, where as, VirtualPawn.com should be easier to sell and that gives me liquidity.

Great discussion, NPers!
