Trade Mark Violation

Hello im think about registering a state that have a trademark, for example Va.com but the domain i want to register is vafunny.com. Will this be a violation of va.com trademark? THAT JUST AN EXAMPLE NOT THE ACTUALLY DOMAIN I WANT TO REGISTER.

From your description it would be hard to say.
Most likely, yes, it would be a trademark violation to use the name in full within a domain name.

Yes, IMHO ... and most if you want to have a proffit from the mark, using their name to attract visits to your site

I check the trade mark when I type in the city name I see other trademark under the city name, I dont know if im doing the trademark search right. Where do you guys go to check for this can you give me step by step details? Let me ask you guys this I saw a couple of domains with ipod in it what about that I know that a violation?

Depending on the site's content (assuming ou build a site for the domain) while there may be TM issues, I personally would not worry about it much because it not a business but a state. The cnaces of it ever becoming a legal issue in your life is slim, IMO.

If you are not going ot develop it, I would not worry at all. But that is just my opinion.

I am not a lawyer so you should never believe me or make my own opinions your own - or i'll sue you...lol.
