Spent the better part of today trying to resolve this problem and still haven't fixed it. My main business email address hasn't received an email for 3-4 das now and I'm freaking out.
1) The domain url resolves.
2) Have taken off all spam filters, rules, etc. on both server's and email clients on my machine- even the one that I don't use.
3) smtp works for the account but pop doesn't.
4) Nothing new comes in on the server. Thought it might be a c-Panel issue, so actually switched over to a new server, and am using DirectAdmin and I still do not get any of the tests emails that I have been sending out, although my other email accounts are all recieving.

Has my email acct. been hijacked?
Any help or links to a site that deals w/ this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Switching servers and to continue having the same problem w/ new DNS, P/Ws, etc is unexplainable.

POP is what you need to get mail, so try webmail first to see if any mail actually comes to the mailbox. Then the problem could be someone hijacking your mail CLIENT but not the box address. Check the authorization, etc. in The Bat, Outlook or whatever you use.

Thanks guys. I sent mail to myself from my other email accts via my clients and straight from the email server to my account and nothing showed up.. The client works because it retrieved a bunch of the junk that was on the server, but the last date of anything that I recieved from the email acct was 25Aug.

The only thing I can think of is that I set up and email account for my wife w/ her initials "PM, ie pm@[myisp].com which was a BIG mistake as it was SPAMMed faster than I could delete ie 1,500 spams inside of minutes- maybe something got on board during that. I hurried over to Mail Filter and set a rule but reversed permisissions by mistakd, (ie block all except for the one I wanted blocked) , so it is possible that all my email for three days was being deleted by my client at the server because I had set the wrong parameters set. However, I later caught that and corrected it. So now, mail should be landing on my email server. But it isn't. Maybe the command is still in an XML file in a cache somewhere that needs cleaning and the command is still operative when I open a client up.\

Gave me an idea. I'll send server to server, close and bypass the clients all together. If that works, there is something causing this that is emanating from a command that is still left over and didn't revert back on my client end.

I just got this error message trying to send out of my problem email acct server:

Man, I don't know what's up w/ this problem.. This is my default account that I use for all of my domain names contact info.

I'll have to go find a tech forum dealing w/ servers/email protocol etc. This isn't a client prob so I can't really go to Apple. It's not a cPanel issue, I've switched to Direct Admin and the problem remains. It isn't a server issue, per se, because other email accts are working on the server.

I'll change the [name]@ and change the email address and see if that works, but changing the email is basically out of the question. Anyways, thanks for the sounding board.
